Built in the 1880s, this Cottage Second Empire style home was the former residence of the Voggenthalers, a prominent Dubuque family in the steel fabrication business. When Virginia Voggenthaler married, the house became hers and she lived there for 64 years. She died at the age of 97, but her legacy for nice things and comfortable surroundings lives on in Virginia’s Cottage.
